1. Shimla

Hop onto the toy-train at Kalka for a ride through the most picturesque settings – it is a journey of romance. Once here, head out to the Mall Road. Have an ice-cream with your loved one in the chilly ambience of this hill-station or visit a local bakery. Discovering these quaint little eateries in Shimla, with your loved one, is an experience to cherish.

You will hear the gurgle of River Beas as you arrive. The air is sweet with the smell of fresh pines and views of the sky-grazing snow-peaks are jaw-dropping spectacular.

Venture out to Manali from Kullu – it is just 48 kilometres away. Pack your days with visits to the Solang Valley and the Rohtang Pass. You can go paragliding and horse riding at Solang if you visit during the summer. The Rohtang Pass is on the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. Play with snow with your partner at the Rohtang Pass and take pictures of your vacation in local gear.

4. Dalhousie

On the Dhauladhar ranges, lies the hill-station of Dalhousie on the top of five hills. It is 70 kilometres away from Chandigarh. Its Chamundi Devi Temple is quite famous. Visit Khajjiar and you will understand why it is called ‘Mini Switzerland’ with its lovely rolling green meadows. Carry a picnic hamper when you visit the Khajjiar Lake. It is a very romantic setting for celebrating togetherness. Visit Dalhousie between April and June when the temperature stays below 30 degrees Celsius by day. At night, it slides to about 21 degrees Celsius

5. Kasauli

70 kilometres away from Shimla, lies the romantic hill-station of Kasauli. It has a distinct colonial charm with romantic bungalows and cosy cottages, in the middle of pine and oak forests, which date back to the times of the British Raj.
The Sunset Point is a must-visit if you are in a romantic frame of mind. Visit it towards the end of the day and you will be awarded the most gorgeous views of the setting sun – a good time to hold hands and soak up the ambience. Between April and June, the temperature ranges between 28 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius. Take a walk through the Lover’s Lane in Kasauli on a mild summer afternoon – you will cherish its memory forever.
